Instrumentarium Dental has launched the OP300 Maxio panoramic, cephalometric, and 3D imaging system.
The system features larger fields-of-view for dental and maxillofacial imaging and cone-beam CT (CBCT) 3D scans with low radiation doses, according to the company.
The system's low-dose technology is good for pediatric patients and sensitive applications such as follow-up imaging or implant planning.
The expanded 3D field-of-view extends to 13 x15 cm, which covers both the mandibula and maxilla to include airways and the upper cervical spine or sinus area. The system provides targeted field-of-views as small as 5 x 5 cm to optimize the cone-beam scan for single-site implants or localized diagnostics, while keeping the patient dose at a reduced level. Users can freely set the position of the 3D field-of-view based on the region of interest.
The OP300 Maxio includes Invivo 5.3 software, which is now capable of combining digital impressions and CBCT scans for improved accuracy in treatment planning. It also includes restoration tools to improve communication between dental professionals and labs. A new implant planning tool provides higher flexibility and a seamless implant selection and placement process, the company noted.
