Second-quarter revenue for Sirona reached $282.7 million, an increase of $15.4 million, or 5.7%, from the same period in 2013.
The company announced its fiscal 2014 second-quarter results (end-March 31) on May 9. Revenue in the U.S. increased 4.5%, while revenue outside the U.S. increased 6.2%, according to Sirona. U.S. revenues benefited from continued demand for imaging and CAD/CAM products, and growth was driven by new user demand for CAD/CAM.
In terms of its business segments, Instruments increased 13.4%, Imaging Systems increased 5%, CAD/CAM Systems increased 5%, and Treatment Centers increased 4.6%, the company said.
