Panasonic has introduced a new microcamera suitable for dental and other medical applications.
The GP-KH232E camera comprises a remote head and control unit and is "ultracompact," the company said. It features a single CMOS chip for high image quality and new digital signal processing resulting in a very small digital high-definition camera head with a standard C-mount type lens interface.
The camera supports a number of video formats: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p/480p, and 576i/480i. It also features electronic shutter, gain control, scene file, white balance control, electronic zoom, image freezing, flip and mirror modes, and dynamic range expansion that can be activated to enhance the simultaneous display of light and dark objects.
GP-KH232E can be purchased in full or as individual components to suit custom needs, according to Panasonic.
