Sirona Dental Systems has moved into the powder-free zone with the new Cerec AC Omnicam, unveiled today at the Cerec 27 and a half event in Las Vegas.
Omnicam features a new, ergonomic handpiece and special optics, a slim, rounded camera tube allows easy rotation of the camera in the intraoral space.
In addition, the ColorStreaming feature allows continuous capture of the oral cavity as well as displaying the 3D data in full color. And operator convenience has been greatly improved by making the system completely powder-free, according to Sirona.
Other benefits include an antishake feature to automatically eliminate substandard images and uniform field of illumination for increased precision, the company noted.
