Carestream celebrates 30 years of RVG imaging

Carestream Dental is celebrating 30 years of providing dental professionals with radiovisography (RVG) intraoral imaging.

RVG imaging was invented and patented by French dentist Francis Mouyen, DSc, according to Carestream.

Carestream introduced its first RVG product in 1982; today the company offers three RVG options:

• The RVG 5100, for basic intraoral imaging needs
• The RVG 6100, which boasts the highest image resolution in the industry (> 20 lp/mm)
• The RVG 6500, which uses wireless technology to eliminate the need for the sensors to have a wired connection to a computer
