Carestream Dental introduced five new imaging products at this week's Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting.
The new additions include the compact CS 7600 digital intraoral radiography system, which features patented intelligent workflow technology designed to prevent plate mix-up and reduce operation time, Carestream said in a press release.
The new CS 1600 is a multiuse intraoral camera that also offers patented caries-detection technology. The device's liquid lens technology offers the widest focus range on the market (1 mm to infinity), according to the company.
Carestream also introduced a new intraoral camera, the CS 1200, a lower-cost model that offers a wide focus range that can capture a variety of images, including macro, single teeth, arches, and smiles, plus the ability to store up to 300 images within the camera itself.
In addition, the Logicon caries-detector software is now available with the ability to automatically run the detection algorithm on all applicable tooth surfaces within a radiograph and immediately display the results.
Finally, for use with Carestream Dental's RVG 6500 System, the RVG Mobile application enables dentists to review images chairside on an iPad and provides remote access to dental imaging software files.
