The Galileos Compact, the newest 3D cone-beam imaging system from Sirona Dental Systems, is specifically designed to meet the needs of general practitioners.
The system provides a 12 x 15 x 15 cm 3D field-of-view, the largest in its class, according to the company. In addition, the system has the ability to display traditional 2D panoramic digital images, and has significantly lower radiation dosage requirements than other 3D systems in its class.
The Galileos Compact will begin shipping in August. It can be upgraded to Sirona's other fully equipped 3D cone-beam system, the Galileos Comfort, for an additional fee.
