The educational program, speakers, and events that were originally scheduled for the 2020 Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting have been moved to 2021.
The annual Hinman meeting had originally been scheduled for March 19-21 in Atlanta, but the meeting was canceled a little more than a week before the event over fears of the novel coronavirus and its spread.
Instead, the 108th meeting will take place as originally planned but on March 11-13, 2021, about one year from the original date. The press team for Hinman described the change as a "freezing time."
Hinman staff members are in the process of issuing registration, course, and event fee refunds for the 2020 conference. They also donated gowns, gloves, face masks, and hand sanitizer they purchased for planned conference courses to a retirement facility in Atlanta.
