Henry Schein and the National Council on Disability have signed a memorandum of understanding, seeking to improve access to care for those in the U.S. with disabilities. The agreement aligns them with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The memorandum between Henry Schein Cares, the company's global corporate social responsibility program, and the council aims to advance key building blocks for expanding dental and medical care for people with disabilities, including improving oral health literacy and provider cultural competency.
Additionally, they will work to expand development and utilization of products and equipment for patients with disabilities, assisting them with accessing care, and advocating for appropriate financing and reimbursement rates.
