Zimmer Biomet reported lower sales in its dental segment in the first quarter of 2018.
For the quarter (end-March 31), sales in the company's dental segment were $107.6 million, down 0.2% from $107.8 million compared with the same quarter of 2017.
The company reported net sales for the quarter of $2.018 billion, an increase of 2.3% from $1.972 billion in same quarter a year ago. However, Zimmer Biomet's net earnings of $174.7 million were down from $299.4 million compared with the first quarter of 2017.
