Patterson Dental CEO Paul Guggenheim has received the San Fernando Valley Dental Society Foundation's Humanitarian Award.
The award was presented at the foundation's annual gala in Los Angeles. The event was also a fundraiser to benefit Smiles From the Heart, Veterans' Smile Day, and Give Kids A Smile, according to Patterson.
"There are a significant number of people experiencing dental disease that is preventable and treatable," Guggenheim stated in a press release. "It is incumbent upon those of us in a position to help to do just that. Helping organizations reach these disadvantaged populations is part of our responsibility as members of our greater community."
Guggenheim serves on the boards of the Children's Dental Center of Greater Los Angeles, the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, and the National Children's Oral Health (NCOHF).
