By its nature, a dental practice connects with and depends on the good will and support of its neighbors. So it's good business -- and the right thing to do -- to participate actively in your practice's neighborhood. Engage in community affairs in such a way that everyone thinks of you as a skilled and caring dentist but also a good neighbor, according to Dr. Roger P. Levin.

In her latest column, stress management expert Jen Butler offers three important tips to help you understand when stress is getting to you. Taken in isolation, an incident might not seem stress-related, but when you know what to look for you can reduce your stress levels.

In this Second Opinion, Dr. Michael W. Davis contrasts the legal performances of two state dental boards and asks which one is serving their state and its citizens better. He notes that there's often a very important reason why some state dental boards have better legal outcomes.
