Biolux unveils AAO presentation themes

Biolux Research will host two presentations at the American Academy of Orthodontics (AAO) annual meeting in New Orleans on April 28.

The topics are faster effective orthodontics and photobiomodulation in clinical orthodontic practice. The first presentation, "Will It Change with Faster Effective Orthodontics Treatment? A Discussion on Biotechnology," will be presented by Chung How Kau, BDS, PhD, MScD.

Dr. Kau is the chairman and a professor in the department of orthodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is an orthodontist, researcher, educator, author, and international speaker. Dr. Kau specializes in 3D and translation research, including advanced imaging and software modeling techniques for orthodontic and skeletal treatment planning. His research interests also include the biology of orthodontic tooth movement, with the goals of reducing treatment timelines.

The second presentation, "Photobiomodulation in Clinical Orthodontic Practice," will be hosted by Timothy Shauhnessy, DDS, a consulting orthodontist to Bioluxh, the director of the Atlanta Orthodontic Study Group, and a presenter and lecturer on comprehensive orthodontics.
