Scotland has gained 793 more dentists between 2006 and 2013, an increase of nearly 33%.
As of September 2013, 91% of children and 82% of adults were registered with a National Health Service (NHS) dentist, according to a guardian.com story.
That compares with 67% of children and 46% of adults who were registered with an NHS dentist in 2007. More than 4.4 million people are now registered, an increase of 1.8 million since 2007, the Scottish National party said.
