Israel, Russia team up on dental nuclear imaging

Israel and Russia have recently signed an agreement to collaborate on nuclear dental imaging technology and developing radioactive materials for dental treatments, according to a globes.co.il story.

The Israel Atomic Energy Commission and the Federal Agency on Atomic Energy (Rosatom) will coordinate the collaboration.

The agreement is limited to medical treatments, but could result in further collaboration in nuclear energy. Israel is interested in building a nuclear power station, and the country has been in contact with President Obama on the matter, according to media sources.

Other sources in the energy industry see the agreement as part of a strategic change in Russia's position in Israel's energy market.
