Some 200 dental offices in the Smile Generation family served their local communities on August 11, 2012, by participating in the second annual Smile Gen Serve Day.
The dental offices provided pro-bono treatment to community members who would not otherwise have access to dental care, and they were able to help more than 1,400 people during the outreach event, the company stated.
The dental offices teamed up with local organizations and community partners, such as youth centers, nonprofit organizations, and churches, to identify individuals that were in need of basic dental care.
Patients received services including cleanings, exams, digital x-rays, extractions, and restorations. The supplies for the treatments were donated by Henry Schein and Ivoclar Vivadent.
Smile Generation comprises nearly 300 dental offices in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Utah.
