P. Deborah Weisfuse, DMD, of New York City has been elected the first female president of the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA) in its 142-year history.
Dr. Weisfuse, a general dentist, most recently served as president-elect of NYSDA (2011-2012). She also created and served as co-chair of the Technology Application Committee (2010-2012) and on the Council on Governmental Affairs (2002-2010).
Founded in 1868, the association is one of the largest state constituents of the American Dental Association (ADA) and represents more than 13,000 of the state's dentists.
