The American Association of Endodontists (AAE) had a record-breaking annual session in Boston from April 18-20, with more than 4,000 attendees from 54 countries.
Many elections occurred during the meeting, which brought new members to the Board of Directors, the American Board of Endodontics, and the AAE Foundation Board of Trustees.
James Kulild, DDS, of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, was named president. Gary Hartwell, DDS, of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, was elected to serve as president-elect. Additionally, Robert Roda, DDS, was elected vice president; Terryl Propper, DDS, was re-elected to serve as secretary; and Linda Levin, DDS, PhD, was elected treasurer.
During the meeting, attendees had the opportunity to donate approved care package items or make a financial contribution to send items to the military abroad at a Support the Troops booth. By the end of the meeting, 106 people donated to the cause and the AAE raised nearly $5,000 to aid U.S. military personnel.
Next year's annual session will take place in Honolulu from April 17-20, 2013.
