The Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) has named Paula Friedman, DDS, as its new president. She is one of five new officers elected at the recent MDS Annual Session in Burlington.
Dr. Friedman is a professor of general dentistry, director of the Geriatric Dentistry Program, and associate dean for strategic initiatives at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Her research focuses on increasing access to oral healthcare for underserved populations, including elders.
She is past president of the American Dental Education Association and a member of Massachusetts Dental Society's District Geriatric Committee.
