Meanwhile, over in the Practice Management Community, it's no secret that the economic recession has taken a toll on U.S. dentists' incomes in recent years. But the downslide actually began more than two years before the recession began, according to a new study by the ADA's Health Policy Resources Center. And there are indications that net incomes may not return to previous levels. Read more.

Dental professionals in Ontario, Canada, are calling on government officials to overturn an existing law they call "ridiculous" and "offensive": If they provide treatment to their spouse, it is considered sexual abuse, and they can be immediately barred from practicing for at least five years without the possibility of an appeal.
