FTC rules against NC dental board; Mo. attorney helps Medicaid kids get braces

The North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners acted illegally in its efforts to bar nondentists from selling teeth-whitening products and services to consumers, according to an order issued by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on December 2.

Among other things, the FTC order requires the board to cease trying to block nondentists from providing these products or services and to stop saying that it is illegal for nondentists to provide them. Read more.
