The International and American Associations for Dental Research (IADR/AADR) have published the proceedings from the 2010 AADR Fall Focused Symposium, "Salivary Diagnostics: Scientific & Clinical Frontiers.
The objective of the symposium, held in November 2010 in Washington, DC, was to provide networking opportunities and exchange ideas regarding cutting-edge technology and techniques.
The symposium featured five sessions pertaining to different areas in salivary diagnostics, including emerging technologies, clinical applications, and the regulatory and payor environment.
The symposium brought together key opinion leaders from diagnostic sciences; the dental profession; scientists from the National Institute of Health's (NIH) Office of the Director, the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, and the National Cancer Institute; biotechnology companies; the Food and Drug Administration; the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; the ADA; the dental insurance industry; and NIH-funded investigators.
The proceedings from the symposium are published in the October issue of Advances in Dental Research (Vol. 23:4, pp. 350-386).
