Pacific Dental offices provide $850K in free dentistry

More than 90 Pacific Dental Services affiliated offices participated in the first Smile Generation Serve Day on August 13 by providing pro bono treatment to 750 people in need.

The community outreach event drew 1,200 volunteers, including more than 125 dentists, who provided over $850,000 in free dentistry, according to the company.

Pacific Dental Services affiliated offices teamed up with local organizations such as churches, nonprofits, women shelters, and youth centers. The community partners assisted in identifying individuals who were in need of basic dental care. They also reached out to existing patients who may have lost their job and had treatment that needed to be done that they couldn't pay for.

Patients received cleanings, exams, x-rays, extractions, fillings, and crowns. The supplies for these treatments were donated by Henry Schein, Ivoclar Vivadent, and Vident.

Also partnering with Pacific Dental on Smile Generation Serve Day was United Concordia Dental.

Pacific Dental has more than 250 affiliated dental offices in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Texas.
