Scott Noren, DDS, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon from Ithaca, NY, announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate against Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in 2012 at a press conference on January 25.
Dr. Noren, whose website describes him as a fiscally conservative and aggressively progressive democrat, completed his dental school training at Loyola University of Chicago in 1990 has been a healthcare provider for nearly two decades.
In his run for the Senate, Dr. Noren will focus primarily on the economy, healthcare issues, military mindset, and how to steer the economy in the right direction, according to a press release.
