Brightsquid has released a collaborative work-flow management platform designed to facilitate communication among dentists, dental labs, and patients.
Modeled on similar technology in medicine, the release creates a "digital hub" for dental data in the practice, the company said. It is intended to facilitate communication among dentists, dental labs, and patients.
Brightsquid Dental Link synchronizes patient information across multiple practice-management systems, including dental prescriptions, digital x-rays, photos, digital impressions, and CAD/CAM files that can be transmitted quickly between office systems and labs.
The application also offers the ability for chairside consultation, the company noted. Cases can be annotated by authorized users.
"Although we've been established in the medical marketplace for a number of years, we are very excited to bring the technology to dentistry, said Deepak Kaura, CEO of Brightsquid, in a press release. "Over the next few months we'll be announcing major partnerships with technical leaders, dental labs, and distribution partners globally."
