Colo. school responds to investigation; have you tried 'tell, show, do'?

The University of Colorado Denver School of Dental Medicine has tightened some of its policies following a series of articles in the Denver Post that claimed that some of the university's practices -- which are common at many dental schools -- were putting patients at risk.

The university is now in compliance with a state law enacted last August that requires dentists to have either an academic or active Colorado license in order to practice or supervise residents, and has stopped allowing residents to procure sedation drugs and write prescriptions using the credentials of faculty members who are not present. And over in the Imaging Community, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this week set its sights on reducing radiation exposure from certain medical imaging devices.
