Despite a "logistical nightmare," anxious first responders like Kanyon Keeney, D.D.S., an oral and maxillofacial surgeon from Virginia, are heading to Haiti to provide much-needed care in the wake of this week's devastating earthquake. From treating facial lacerations and oral infections to providing longer-term restorative care in a country that, for the time being, has no water or electricity, they are putting their personal and professional lives on hold to bring aid to thousands of injured Haitians.
