William V. Giannobile, D.D.S., M.S., D.M.Sc., has been appointed the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Dental Research and will begin his term in April 2010, according to an ADA News article.
Dr. Giannobile is professor of dentistry and the director of the Michigan Center for Oral Health Research at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He was also a faculty member at Harvard and The Forsyth Institute in Boston.
He succeeds Tony Smith, who has been editor-in-chief of the journal for the past five years.
