Sirona reported revenues of $188.2 million for the fourth quarter of FY2009 (end-Sept. 30), a 4.2% increase over revenues of $181 million for the same quarter a year ago.
Net income for the quarter was $26.7 million, compared to a loss of $5.2 million for the fourth quarter of 2008.
During the quarter, growth rates for the company's CAD/CAM business segment increased 35.3%, while imaging systems declined 5.5% and treatment centers declined 15.
Revenue in the U.S. increased by 32.1%, driven by CAD/CAM sales which benefited from strong interest in the CEREC AC and the AC trade-in program, the company said in a press release. Outside the U.S., revenue declined 5%.
For the year, Sirona reported revenues of $713.3 million, a decrease of $43.8 million over FY2008.
