The Children's Dental Health Project (CDHP) has launched a new newsletter, TrendNotes, that explores issues in children's oral health and recommends corresponding policy changes.
"It is our hope that this document focuses policymaker's attention on trends, opportunities and options to improve oral health for all children at low cost through the best use of prevention, disease management, care coordination and maximized resources," the CDHP said in announcing the newsletter.
The nine-page inaugural issue, October 2009, describes the dimensions and etiology of early childhood caries in layman's terms. It recommends such policies as increased public funding for risk-based prevention.
