The ADA announced the winners of the 2009 Golden Apple Awards in September, according to an ADA News article.
The awards recognize dental society activities and excellence in leadership.
This year's winners include:
- West Virginia Dental Association, which won in the category of legislative achievement for a constituent society
- Livingston District Dental Society of Michigan, which won for excellence in dental health promotion to the public
- California Dental Association, which was honored in the category of excellence in member-related services/benefits
- New York State Dental Association, which took top honors for outstanding achievement in the promotion of dental ethics
