Jackson hails materials revolution; novel implant alloy debuts at AAP

Restorative dentistry guru Ronald Jackson, D.D.S., gave a rousing talk at the California Dental Association meeting last week about the rosy future he sees for cosmetic dentistry, telling a packed audience that the specialty's critics don't have a clue what a smile means to a 14-year-old girl these days.

Meanwhile, a novel dental implant alloy that combines titanium and zirconium debuted at the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) meeting this week, and the manufacturer claims it could increase the public's acceptance of implant dentistry. Read more.
