NJ dentist pleads guilty to Medicaid fraud

A New Jersey dentist has pleaded guilty to defrauding Medicaid of nearly $100,000 by billing for procedures that were not performed, according to a story on NewJerseyNewsroom.com.

Joshua Prensky, D.D.S., was employed by New Jersey Mobile Dental Practice, which contracts with individual dentists to provide dental services in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Dr. Prensky faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $15,000 fine. He will also pay restitution and a civil penalty of more than $84,000.
