National Museum of Dentistry elects new chairman

The National Museum of Dentistry's Board of Visitors elected Leslie Seldin, D.D.S., as its new chair during its annual meeting on June 5.

Dr. Seldin has served for many years as a member of the museum's Board of Visitors. He is a general dentist retired from private practice. He has served as first vice president of the ADA, president of the Dental Society of the State of New York, and president of the New York County Dental Society. A graduate of the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, Dr. Seldin presently serves there as an associate professor of dentistry and chairman of its Dean's Advisory Council.

"The National Museum of Dentistry brings people together from the entire dental profession -- not only dentists but the dental industry, corporations, and allied organizations -- all working together toward the same goal to preserve the heritage of the profession and teach children and parents about the value of oral health," Dr. Seldin stated in a press release. "I'd like to look back at the end of my two years to see that the museum's reach has increased, more people know us, and more people are accessing the information we provide in an enjoyable and productive way."
