The Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA) has launched a new statewide public awareness campaign featuring two 15-second TV spots to remind individuals not to neglect their oral health during these challenging economic times.
"Good daily oral hygiene, preventive therapies like fluoride and sealants, regular exams by a dentist, and early restorative treatment are all critical to controlling dental disease," said WDA President H. Michael Kaske, D.D.S. "By adhering to basic oral healthcare practices, individuals of all ages can reduce their need for advanced restorative procedures, thus saving money and time in the dental chair."
Titled "Mother Knows Best" and "Ounce of Prevention," the TV spots began airing on commercial and cable stations statewide in late April. The messages are also being promoted on the association's Web site at www.wda.org.
