A 27-year-old Michigan dentist spent his summer vacation on the professional fishing tour -- and it paid off. Josh VanderWeide recently won first place and $100,000 in the FLW Wal-Mart Walleye Tour competition on Lake Michigan. In his first full year as a pro angler, he's won $170,000.
VanderWeide graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. But professional fishing has its perks, too, he said.
"I'm not sure what I am going to do, I'd like to do both," he told Michigan.com in a recent story.
