New barrier envelopes enhance plate protection

The new Henry Schein Maxi-Gard barrier envelopes, for use with phosphor plates to take digital x-rays, are designed to prevent cross contamination and protect plates from blood and saliva.

Sideways loading and easy-to-use adhesive strips make for better handling, according to the company. The envelopes also feature double black sides to ensure that plates will not be exposed to light.

They can be used with SanX, DenOPtix, and OpTime digital imaging systems and are available in size 0 at 100 per box, size 1 at 100 per box, and size 2 at 300 per box.
