Dr. Chris Petrush of Pleasant Hill, CA, told me recently that he doesn't worry about competition from the dozens of dentists who practice close to his business. His main focus, he said, is keeping his patients satisfied and letting them tell others about their dental visit.
Part of that experience for Dr. Petrush's patients includes same-day dentistry delivered by CAD/CAM. With CAD/CAM as part of his practice for nine years, Dr. Petrush has adapted to the changes he has seen in the technology, as well as the ways that an open CAD/CAM system can be integrated to expand his digital workflow.
In this issue's Insider Exclusive, Dr. Petrush detailed what made him change CAD/CAM systems, and he also gave some advice for others who have yet to incorporate the technology into their practice.

Finally, scientists in Oregon are developing a new 3D-printed technology inspired by Lego toys. The tiny, 3D-printed bricks are designed to help heal broken bones and could one day even lead to lab-made organs for transplantation. They could potentially have an impact on dentistry as well.
