CAD-Ray Imaging Centers has opened an imaging center that offers 3D cone-beam CT (CBCT) in Los Angeles.
Patients can be referred to receive 3D radiographic scans of their entire craniofacial anatomy while providing dentists with the tools to translate the scans into implant placements, according to the company.
Founded by Armen Mirzayan, DDS, the imaging center also captures digital models of edentulous arches for proper implant design. After approval by the referring doctor, CAD-Ray orders a stent to ensure that a guided fixture placement can be performed.
A second center is scheduled to open in Chicago in December, with further expansion planned.
