Plandent, a dental supply division of Planmeca Group, said it is expanding its business into Poland by acquiring a majority stake in Polish dental supply company Kol-Dental.
Plandent has acquired 51% of the share capital of Kol-Dental, which is owned by Maciek Nurzyński and Jacek Piłko, who will remain with the new firm in their management role.
The companies are well-acquainted, as Kol-Dental has long distributed Planmeca's dental equipment in the Polish market, the two firms said in a statement.
Through Kol-Dental, Plandent will introduce to the Polish market its dental supplies and Planmeca's high-tech dental equipment, along with services including materials management, online ordering, and maintenance and support.
