Henry Schein debuts panoramic imaging system

Henry Schein debuted the Digital Panoramic Orthopantomograph OP300at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting last week.

The system offers digital panoramic imaging with either cephalometric or cone-beam CT, or a combination of both in the adaptable platform, the company said. It utilizes complementary metal-oxidesemiconductor (CMOS) sensor technology, 14-bit image data, and reduced signal-to-noise ratio.

A scanning cephalometric option combined with an x-ray generator and tube head offers visibility of tracing key reference points for orthodontic treatment planning. In addition, dose optimization is carried out by an adjustable scanning area and automatic facial contour.

The system offers two fields-of-view: 6 x 4 cm and 6 x 8 cm. Both cover the jawbone and occlusion level with standard or high resolution.
