Millennium Dental Technologies has received the CE Mark for its PerioLase MVP-7 Nd:YAG laser system, enabling the company to begin marketing the device in Europe.
The CE Mark certifies that the product has met European Union (EU) health and safety standards and is approved for sale within EU countries and members of the European Free Trade Association.
The PerioLase MVP-7 digital dental laser's conformity assessment, essential for earning the CE Mark, was completed by Intertek Product Testing, an independent testing, inspection, and certification firm. Intertek evaluated the laser system for electrical safety, design, manufacturing processes, and performance, then provided the results for review to AMTAC Certification Services of the U.K.
