Biolase has introduced the Epic X diode laser to the U.S. market.
Following up on the success of the company's Epic 10 laser, Epic X features upgrades and improvements to nearly every system component to optimize treatment speed and efficiency.
"Our Epic X diode laser meets the highest quality and reliability standards we can set as a company, thereby maximizing chairside and hygiene room availability for dentists, hygienists, and their patients," stated Biolase President and CEO Jeffrey Nugent in a press release.
The Epic X has for three unique treatment modes: surgery, whitening, and pain relief. The laser includes preinitiated tips, which are only available for Biolase diode laser systems, eliminating a time-consuming task and guaranteeing a consistent, predictable tip condition for soft-tissue surgery, according to the company.
Biolase also offers a new Reliability Assurance Plan for Epic X customers so that they are never without an Epic X laser for more than 24 hours, ensuring maximum uptime.
Epic X systems are available immediately in the U.S., with a full global launch planned in the future, Biolase said.
