TheraBreath has introduced three new teeth-whitening products: the Dental Professional Whitening Kit, the Touch Up Whitening Pen, and the Tooth Sensitivity Treatment Pen.
The Dental Professional Whitening Kit works by applying a blend of carbamide peroxide gel to the teeth using thermoplastic mouth trays. TheraBreath now uses glycerin as a base for the gel instead of glycol because natural glycerin is more effective at permitting absorption of the gel by teeth, the company noted. The kit includes four moldable trays, three whitening syringes, and one plastic tray case to keep items clean.
TheraBreath's Touch Up Whitening Pen, sold in packs of two, administers touch-ups for teeth areas that are prone to staining, such as in between teeth and near the gumline.
The Tooth Sensitivity Treatment Pen provides a remineralization gel that is similar to what is used by dentists to reduce the pain of sensitive teeth, the company stated. Applying this gel to sensitive tooth areas seals the compromised enamel, which prevents further erosion and initiates remineralization of thinly enameled areas.
