ContacEZ has added interproximal diamond strips to its IPR Strip System line to achieve interproximal enamel reduction more efficiently and safely.
The ContacEZ IPR Super-Widener and the ContacEZ IPR Mega-Widener strips feature double-sided extra-coarse diamond that properly reduce enamel to accurately widen the proximal contact, according to the company. The strips are permanently housed in steam-autoclavable medical-grade plastic casings. Dentists can perform interproximal reduction with these single-handed strips without changing handles, casings, or strips.
The compact design of ContacEZ IPR strips increases the level of user/patient friendliness, preventing gagging and trauma to surrounding soft tissue such as gums and lips, according to ContacEZ. With openings for better visibility, the flexible strips curve and conform to the natural contours of the teeth without creating sharp corners and subgingival ledges.
Designed to be used in conjunction with Invisalign, ClearCorrect, Inman Aligner, eCligner, Six Month Smiles, and other clear ortho alignment treatment systems, the ContacEZ IPR Strip System is intended for buccolingual use only, the company noted.
