Evolve Dental cuts bleaching time in half

Evolve Dental Technology showcased its new dual-accelerated, tribarrel Hydremide peroxide technology at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting last week.

p>The KoR Whitening Deep Bleaching system is the first to utilize a tribarrel design that keeps the whitening gel chemistry separated into three barrels, according to Rod Kurthy, DDS, Evolve founder and chief whitening researcher.

"The innovative new tribarrel system has enabled the creation of our new Hydremide peroxide formulation, resulting in the ability to achieve desirable chemical and physical properties of whitening gels never before accomplished," Dr. Kurthy said in a press release.

This has allowed Evolve to cut in-office whitening time in half by eliminating one of the two in-office whitening visits, reducing the amount of whitening gel needed and thus reducing costs as well, he added.

Evolve is the first company to refrigerate a full line of whitening products the instant of manufacture until received by dental offices, according to the company. This makes it possible to provide fully water-based gels with a neutral pH, yet still provide a long shelf life and 100% potency.
