Ultradent will introduce Opalescence Oh, unit-dose disposable bulbs filled with Ultradent's Opalescence whitening gel, at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting this week.
The disposable, unit-dose bulbs in Opalescence Oh take the guesswork out of the application process, according to the company. After removing the bulb's cap, the gel fills a single custom whitening tray, avoiding waste or mess. And, Opalescence Oh contains the time-tested Opalescence gel and patented potassium nitrate and fluoride formula for increased enamel strength, minimized sensitivity, reduced risk of caries, and a brilliantly striking smile, according to Ultradent. Opalescence Oh is available in 10%, 15%, 20%, and 35% carbamide peroxide options in mint, melon, and regular flavors.
Ultradent will also introduce Opalescence Boost in a stronger, faster, and easier formulation for in-office whitening. Opalescence Boost 40% PF is one of the strongest in-office whitening products available, according to the company. The new formulation, which still doesn't require a light, has allowed for a reduced treatment time of 40 minutes (two 20 minute applications). Also, the kits now include OpalDam Green for a more visible gingival barrier and easier application, Ultradent said.
