DRE introduces surgical drill and microsaw system

DRE recently introduced the DRE OS-200, a surgical drill and microsaw system with a brushless electronic motor system.

The DRE OS-200 is designed for general oral surgery, implantology, and microsurgery procedures. It is available with a variety of surgical drills, microsaws, and contra angles. Optional accessories include a trolley with antistatic wheels, a suitcase for ambulant treatment, and a foot pedal.

With the system, surgeons can use a single contra angle for all working facets in implant surgery, according to the company. The system also features a torque controller and safety overload protection that are built into the unit's high-torque feature.

Other features include the following:

  • 10 preselectable torque levels
  • Two motor jacks
  • Electronic motors, each with three preselectable programs
  • Immediate stop function
  • RS-232 interface for printer
  • Very quiet peristaltic pump
  • Adjustable speed control
  • Reverse mode with an alarm buzzer
  • Fixed preset speed keys
