The 151st Midwinter Meeting concluded in Chicago on Saturday, February 27. Almost 30,000 attendees, including almost 7,000 dentists and more than 7,000 hygienists and assistants, came to the conference.
Our latest slideshow from the meeting highlights some of the new products, atmosphere, and events. Our editorial coverage will continue into next week.
Keystone Industries highlighted the company's PF2 mouthguard, designed for use with any sport, especially contact sports such as football, hockey, boxing, mixed martial arts, lacrosse, and field hockey. The PF2 differs from the traditional custom-fit mouthguard in that it’s a boil-and-bite that fits like a custom guard and can be reboiled up to nine times, according to the company.
The Kerr Restoratives booth featured the MaxCem Elite Chroma Color challenge. The resin, launched in January by the company, is a self-etch, self-adhesive resin cement that offers a color cleanup indicator. Practitioners could try the cement themselves at the booth. Here Myan Yip, manager of North America marketing for Kerr Restoratives, fields questions about the cement.
DrBicuspid.com's own Athena Blackwood staffs our new booth at the meeting. Visitors to the booth could register to become a member of DrBicuspid.com, learn about our upcoming Women in Dentistry conference, sample our new Practice SnapShot practice valuation tool, and more.
Plans are well underway for next year's meeting, which will take place February 23-25, 2017. We're looking forward to bringing you more coverage of the event.
