Henry Schein has announced plans to acquire or secure a majority interest in three dental implant companies.
The company intends to acquire Intra-Lock, a U.S.-based dental implant company. It also plans to secure a majority interest in dental implant manufacturer Medentis Medical based in Germany and Pro-Cam Implants, the exclusive distributor in the Netherlands for implant and restorative dentistry supplier Camlog.
The acquisition and investments will build upon the company's global implant business, according to Henry Schein. The transaction prices were not disclosed, although the company expects the transactions to be neutral to the 2018 earnings per share.
